They can be bought from the Fishing Rod shop after first acquiring them through the questline. See the list below for the fishing rod quest progression:įishing rods have a power level and can be used to fish at nodes of equal or less power. Caught fish take up no space and can be used for quests and crafting or sold for gold.įinishing the main quests for a fishing NPC will give you a new Fishing Rod as a final reward. When you successfully capture a fish, it is added to the Resources section of your inventory and you receive fishing XP based on its power and rarity. Rarer fish move faster, more erratically, and have smaller capture zones. The color of the fish indicator and capture zone indicate the rarity of the fish.
To catch a fish, you must click or tap the big button when the fish indicator is in the capture zone. When starting the fishing minigame for the first time, a tutorial will appear to show it works.
